We are inviting extended abstracts (up to 1000 words) on themes relevant to the growing interest in new ways of delivering mobility services in the passenger transport market. Mobility as a Service (MaaS) has become the catchall nomenclature for the many initiatives being considered in many countries, and focusses on the opportunities afforded by digital information platforms to plan and deliver multimodal mobility options in point to point trips and/or first and last mile travel to public transport journeys. Papers of particular interest are anticipated to be on themes that include integrated mobility delivery systems, governance of MaaS, design of mobility contracts, consumer interest in MaaS offers, investor interest in subscription services, and the role of government. Other topics will also be considered.
All papers must show the policy and practical implications of the research contribution. Abstracts need to be received no later than March 1, 2018 with advice on which papers we invite a full paper for by March 30. Full papers will be required by July 31 2018 and then refereed.
Send abstracts to david.hensher@sydney.edu.au with email title ‘TRA Special Issue on MaaS’.
